Dr. Amir Feily is a board-certified dermatologist based in Shiraz, Iran, with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of skin, hair, and nail disorders, as well as laser procedures, hair restoration, scar management, pigmentary disorders, and aesthetic dermatology.

After earning his Doctor of Medicine degree, he completed his specialist residency in Dermatology at the Department of Dermatology of Imam Khomeini Hospital, affiliated with Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences. During his specialist training, he also completed a visiting-resident educational period at Santa Maria Nuova Hospital in Florence, Italy. He completed his dermatology residency in 2011 and has since accumulated approximately 15 years of professional experience.

Dr. Feily’s principal clinical and research interests include vitiligo, melasma and other pigmentary disorders, psoriasis, inflammatory skin diseases, acne and acne scarring, dermatologic laser treatments, hair loss, hair transplantation, scar management, and the medical and aesthetic applications of botulinum toxin. His research has also explored dermatologic pharmacology, autoimmune skin conditions, pruritus, and innovative treatments for difficult-to-manage dermatological disorders.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr. Feily has an extensive academic and research background. Bibliographic and professional profiles list more than 90 scientific publications associated with his name, including studies published in internationally recognized dermatology and medical journals. He has also served as an editorial-board member or reviewer for several scientific journals in dermatology and related medical fields.

One of his notable scientific contributions is the development of a hair-grafting technique known as Feily’s Method. The technique was introduced as a method for reducing the risk of recipient-site scalp necrosis during dense hair transplantation. The original case series was published in 2015, and subsequent clinical observations regarding the method were published in 2017.

Dr. Feily has received several national and international scientific distinctions. These include the Global Education Award from the International Society of Dermatology in 2013 and the Imrich Sarkany Non-European Memorial Scholarship/Award presented during the 23rd European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology Congress in Amsterdam in 2014. He was also recognized as a leading young investigator at the 22nd Razi Medical Sciences Research Festival in 2017.
